Biography

Ashanti has been a part of the AFS community since 2018.

Ashanti’s favorite spot on campus: “The cemetery path leading to the Meeting House. I love experiencing the joy and anticipation of the children as they get their last wiggles out and the silence that settles on each child as we leave the path to enter the Meeting House. For me, worship starts right at that moment.”

What Ashanti enjoys about working at AFS: “Everyone knows your name! From the smallest friend to Rich, everytime someone says, ‘Hi Ashanti,’ I know I am in a special place where community and belonging is not just words but actions that start with a small gesture of knowing a name.”
