Erin Bengtson
Biography
Erin has been a part of the AFS community since 2008. Formerly, she worked at College Possible, a college access and retention nonprofit.
Erin ’s favorite part about working in the AFS community: “I love the way that the community grows as a collective — how teachers, staff, administration, and students continually push each other to learn, grow, and evolve together. We are truly a community of continuing revelation.”
What Erin finds most meaningful in her profession: “It is truly special to work with students as they move through the critical stages of identity development in the teenage years. To be in close relationships with young people while I help them discover the beautiful revelations of mathematics — that is a truly special profession.”
Fun fact about Erin: “I have visited all 50 states in the USA.”
Erin’s favorite spot on campus: “The whole campus is amazing, but I especially love the creek, the food gardens, the playgrounds, and the math office.”
