Biography

John Rison has been the Chief Technology Officer at Abington Friends since 2008 and a member of the athletics staff since 2013. He currently serves as Varsity Golf Head Coach.

John previously spent 3 years coaching basketball at the Trident Academy in South Carolina. He earned his college degree from Charleston Southern University.

Why John coaches at AFS: “I love coaching golf at a Quaker school because there are no officials and players are responsible for monitoring themselves and their opponents. Golf is a humbling sport that builds character, creates friendships and it is a sport you can play for a lifetime.”
