On Wednesday, November 9, AFS senior Ife West-Ingram ‘23 signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career as a full scholarship men’s basketball player at Rider University.
Ife helped lead AFS Varsity Boys Basketball to their first double digit winning season since 2018-19 during last year’s campaign, averaging 8.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1 assist per game for the Roos.
“By signing his NLI, Ife joins the 1% of high school boys basketball players who receive a Division 1 scholarship,” explained Jeff Bond, Director of Athletics, to a crowd of family, friends, teammates, coaches and faculty. “He is poised to join the almost 70 AFS alums in the last decade who have become college athletes after their careers as a Roo drew to a close.”
Ife expressed gratitude for God, his family, coaches and teammates for being a part of his journey.
