The Upper School is hosting a food drive to benefit the Loaves and Fishes Food Cupboard at Jenkintown United Methodist Church, where more than 100 families receive free food every Thursday.

Emily Fishman, clerk of the Community Service Council, said there is a competition among the grades and a prize will be awarded to the grade with the most donations.

So, be sure to put your donated food in the correct box outside the US Office. The council will be collecting the food until November 17.

Here is a list of the foods that are being collected.

Boxed stuffing mix

Canned vegetables

Cranberry sauce

Turkey gravy

Canned pumpkin

100% fruit juice (Please, no juice boxes)

Canned fruit in juice, especially pineapple (Please, no individual containers)

Pasta sauce

Peanut butter

Tuna packed in water

Condensed soups — tomato, chicken noodle, cream of mushroom
